Australian company iVolve has released its new iControlTM product, providing complete real-time monitoring and control of a mine site’s mobile fleet and static assets. The ability to integrate real-time visualisation while providing true real-time monitoring and analysis and production and maintenance management are at the heart of iControl, providing users with site-wide management and productivity control capability. iControlM is a Geospatial Information System (GIS) designed specifically for the mining industry. It aggregates and combines information from various sources to produce a complete overview of the state of the fleet and assets. Details such as:– Location and operational status of vehicles– Quantity of material a vehicle is carrying– Amount of fuel the vehicle is consumingThese are all examples of the information that can be clearly visualized in real-time on the map and associated dashboards of iControl. Data sources include aerial photography, vector/CAD drawings, databases, GPS, remote sensors and cameras.By providing access to real-time visibility of the status of the site assets, iControl assists site operations personnel to maximise safety and improve productivity, while providing maintenance personnel with the ability to perform preventative maintenance by monitoring vehicle health and identifying potential issues before they result in costly downtime or in-service failures, or cause injury. iControl is web-enabled and can be used remotely to assist in the analysis and planning stages of mine operations allowing management to optimise future operations.In addition to the ability to visualise real-time information as it occurs, iControl can also be used to analyse and report on historical fleet movements and events. Using the playback feature, iControl is capable of replaying vehicle-specific information such as a near miss or incident, or displaying selected machine health alerts for a desired period of time. iControl is now available as part of iVolve’s PAMS suite of products to the global mining industry.
