Committed🙏🏾💯Thank You God pic.twitter.com/YfEMxjTU2z— Popular Loner…🖤 (@D1bound_zay2121) September 19, 2019Gray is the Cornhuskers’ 12th commit in the 2020 class (includes a transfer player). Seven of the commits play on the offensive side of the ball while the remaining play on defense.Nebraska’s recruiting class ranking is 38th overall and 10th in the Big Ten as of right now. But that’s due to quantity, not quality. The average star-rating of the class is 89.19 which is 16th overall. The Cornhuskers’ 11 commits is also the lowest total commits within the top 63 teams in the 2020 rankings. Quality clearly isn’t an issue for this class. (Photo by Eric Francis/Getty Images)Nebraska football received good news on Thursday. 2020 4-star cornerback Henry Gray has committed to Scott Frost and the Cornhuskers. As a result, Nebraska has moved up in the 2020 recruiting rankings.Previously ranked 52nd overall, the Cornhuskers 2020 class jumped 14 spots to No. 38. That large of a jump is rare. But given Gray’s talent, the improved ranking makes sense.Gray, Miami (FL.) Miami Central cornerback, is rated the 12th best player at his position in the 2020 class. He also ranks 201st overall. Gray’s commitment is a big win for the Nebraska program.Florida is littered with talent across the state and it’s difficult to get these prospects to head so far west. Given Nebraska’s upward trajectory under Frost, getting players like Gray to come to Nebraska is big.
