first_imgThe An Post Letterkenny boys are ‘wheely’ happy to have the cycle over them!Saddle sore but happy! That was the verdict from An Post’s Letterkenny cyclists who undertook a 4 day cycle from the most southerly point to the most northerly point to raise funds for The Donegal Hospice. The An Post Letterkenny lads are a group of cycling enthusiasts from An Posts Delivery Service Centre in Letterkenny and were delighted to undertake this challenge and raise funds for the Donegal Hospice. Months of training paid off and last Friday evening they arrived in Malin Head at the Inishowen Peninsula in Co. Donegal after only cycling for 4 days.Aren’t we allowed to stop for a break after every two miles?!They covered the length of Ireland through some of the most scenic & beautiful spots in the country. The whole group really enjoyed the cycle, even though it was a very demanding route, they were all in agreement that it was a big personal challenge for them all. They were fully committed to the challenge and to raising funds for The Donegal Hospice. Mizen to Malin is a tough 700km cycle and they did it in record time. I’m just along for the ride claims Mark Nee!The group included, cyclists Liam O’Grady, Martin McGinley, Paul Herrity, Jarleth Lee, Austin Lee, Eoin Coyle, Mark Nee and Eamon McGlinchey, who were helped massively by Frankie McNulty and Tony Duffy who went along to make sure they had much needed help, water and food along the way.An Post Letterkenny would like to thank all their friends, family, sponsors and co-workers for all the support and well wishes they received. They would also like to thank everyone who donated and sponsored them and if you would like to donate you can contact the group through their facebook page. SADDLE-SORE BUT THE FUNDRAISING CASH IS IN THE POST! was last modified: June 11th, 2014 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:An PostcycledonegalletterkennyMizen to Malinlast_img
